No dec. needed for restaurant, unless you wish to have low candles in a container, no open flames or make a nest of silk flowers with a bubble vase, small roundish with a scalloped rim, Stack two votives of top of each other, light top one, just for correct height in buggle vases,shop at thrist stores for these or candles in different size wine glasses, many can be found at thrift stores.. Church, have two flower arrangements, silk or live, white with a few colors of your bouquet, buy ahead of time or borrow the brass plant stands and borrow ferns from friends and family and decorate with some stems of baby’s breath inserted into foilage. Use big white bows, I love with tulle mixed in, for pew markers.

If you don’t want to incorporate candles, you could use flowers. Flowers could be expensive so maybe fake ones are best. We’re having our reception at a nice restaurant and we are not decorating it. It’s nice enough.

Most churches are nice enough too…No need for decorations that will only be used once.

If you want to decorate the church…you could put some flowers, ribbon, or tulle at the end of each pew. Put some flowers at the alter where you will marry.

the church – it may seem cheap,but if there is a wedding there before yours and the colour scheme matches,could you ask about using their flowers?you could make a small financial contribution towards the flowers and have a fully decorated venue.if not,the best look ive seen is a single flower tied with ribbons at the end of the pew

the restaurant:you could buy/hire several fishbowls,with some of those iridescent pebbles,fill with water and then add some floating candles (if you can find scented and matching your colour scheme even better!).another option is a single carnation on all the placemats with some very nice place cards,which you can make yourself

Floral Shops will have pictures, they do a lot of decorating along with the floral arranging

The marriage is the event that begins a family. If a couple is not intending to have any children, then there is no need in the Catholic faith for a marriage. The Sacrament of Matrimony is much more than sanctioning sex between a couple. The outcome of sex is children and at the beginning of the creation of a family, the couple promise to accept children that God gives them and to raise the children as Catholic.

I think it is incorrect. Getting married to someone should have little to do with how your child is going to be raised. I also don’t think anyone should make promises about any other human to any body on any subject. We all have our own free-will. To make a Promise as strong as that and then have your child break that promise could do lasting mental damage to the promiser.

Weddings must be reserved for two people to promise to each other they will love and care for one another. Don’t bring anyone else into the vows. Same as with Christening. You can’t make promises that strong for a child that doesn’t even know he or she is a child yet. They will make their way when it is time.

Catholicism still does. I think the couples know what they’re doing before they go ahead with it. And I know one couple who must have promised to do it–and didn’t. Their kids were all raised in the mother’s Protestant church. Honestly, there isn’t a “church police” that comes to the house and baptizes.
